Read majority of this book at Tybee yesterday. Finished it last night at home.

Patternmaster by Octavia Butler was my February pick for the Charleston Literary Festival reading challenge.
Patternmaster by Octavia Butler was 🤌 I’m pretty speechless at the depths of this book and the parallels seen throughout it.
humanities existence and interconnectedness.
The telepathy… which feels like is currently growing exponentially, the more we understand the brain and how energy works. I have to sit with this a minute. Give it a proper review. For now… I’m just happy I finished it! A good read! It’s hard to finish things when I’m like a squirrel and start multiple books at one time. ADHD strong!
Definitely a butterfly reader. It’s like looking for nectar from many books at once… gathering as much information or nectar as I can… Depending on my mood and what attracts me.

March’s pick. Dracula by Bram Stoker… a classic horror. I started this book May 1st of last year and I willllll finish it before May of this year! Bite me! TBF, this is a hefty big book and I’m not a book guzzler. I’m just a pretty little book butterfly taking my time as usual.
Xoxo,
Your classic slow burn, late bloomer.
PS. I’m not even gonna commit to April’s pick yet. Gotta stay focused. I can’t be compelled… 🩸 🦇
PSS. waitttt… yes I can. April’s Historical Fiction pick is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.

PSSS. Speaking of April. I year ago my life changed on April 1st, 2024. I was blindsided by it… though, subconsciously I felt something was off, I just couldn’t quite place what it was that was off and the depths to which it went.
My intuition wasn’t wrong, but nevertheless I had no idea how rapidly I would have to change everything and spent a year putting out little fires everywhere. It’s deeper than that. Though, I finally see people for who they really are at their core. It’s an Earth shattering experience once that switch is flipped and you see the motives behind people’s behaviors and actually understand what’s going on.
The story runs deep… and I’m on to the next chapter…
